Since 2015, the team behind Kingha Coffee has been working tirelessly to bring you delicious, ethical, and sustainable coffee beans from the African continent.
Our founders – Kingsley & Maha – swapped the high rises of Dubai for the mountains of rural southwestern Uganda, and Kingha Coffee was born.
We have achieved a lot in the eight years since starting our coffee journey, but we’re exceptionally proud of the fact that our coffee is now for sale via our online store, making it available to customers across Canada.
Allow us to explain how to order from Kingha and introduce our premium coffee beans for sale.
Introducing our online store
Since the very start of our coffee journey in Uganda, we have been determined to bring the very best arabica coffee to market in Canada.
We have put a lot of time and effort into raising the quality of coffee within our Ugandan estate and on surrounding farms within our coffee-growing community.
Our in-country team has found local farmers willing to increase the quality of their produce to reach international markets, and we are exceptionally proud that our Kigezi Mountains coffee is now available via our online store to Canadian buyers.
How did we get here?
Well, over the years, we have invested in sustainable agricultural practices in Uganda that have increased the quality of the coffee beans that we have been able to grow.
We have refined our processes and worked with experts to produce coffee that we think you will love. Not only that, but we have also invested a lot of time and money into the local area in which our coffee is grown.
Kingha is not just a coffee company, after all. Our founders are passionate educators who have contributed to local schools and education projects to support holistic development in some of Uganda’s poorest coffee-growing regions.
Therefore, we rightfully celebrate the fact that our delicious, ethical coffee beans for sale are now available in Canada. But why should you choose our coffee beans over others?
Why buy coffee beans for sale from Kingha?
Unfortunately, there’s a lot of malpractice in the coffee industry, and local coffee growers are easily exploited. When we started our journey back in 2015, this was something that we saw first-hand.
As a result, we have been determined from the very beginning to do things differently. Our Ugandan estate (close to the Bwindi National Park in SW Uganda) is a community hub in which we utilize progressive agricultural practices to produce the finest coffee in the region.
We engage directly with local farmers and help them improve the quality of their produce, showing them how to cultivate arabica coffee that can be sold on the international market.
All of the farmers that we partner with are paid fairly for the coffee that they produce. They also benefit from the educational projects that we’re involved with and the fact that we grow our coffee organically, ensuring that we are protecting the coffee-growing region for future generations.
We have worked extremely hard to get our coffee to the international market and offer delicious, single-origin coffee beans for sale via our online store, as introduced below.
Try our delicious single-origin Ugandan coffee today
The premium coffee beans for sale on our website come from a coffee-growing region in the southwest region of Uganda, close to the home of the mountain gorillas of Bwindi.
Specifically, our current crop is grown at 1950 meters up in the Kigezi mountains, in the small village of Mpungu; this exceptional single-origin coffee comes from our partner farmer Vicent Butamanya’s 20-acre coffee farm. Vicent’s coffee farm lies at the end of a long and winding road way up in the mountains.
Reaching his farm and getting his coffee cherries down the mountain presents some significant logistical challenges, but ones we are happy to overcome to bring you this exceptional coffee from an exceptional farmer.
We offer our coffee in three variants – washed, natural, and green, depending on your preferences. For our natural and washed beans, you can choose your roast level – light, medium, or dark – and we can even grind the coffee beans for you if you don’t want to do it yourself.
Our coffee beans for sale are currently available in 1KG and 350g bags, which is ideal if you’re looking for a bag to take with you on your travels or a month’s worth of delicious coffee for home or work.
